Approved by the USDA for use on hogs to loosen hair and scruff at the follicle. For use with a scalding tank, you use 1 Quart of Nu Scald to 1000 Gal of water to charge your scalding tank. Even though it is so potent it does not have any toxic ingredients, making it ideal for use when the gelatin or the skin is going to be used for leather production.

Directions: Charge scald tank by adding one quart Nu Scald per each 1000 Gal of water. Heat water but do not start circulating pumps until the water reaches 136-140°F and hogs are ready to drop in. Add more Nu Scald throughout the day whenever the solution starts to lose effectiveness.
