Sausage casings that DO NOT need to be flushed, just take out of the package and onto the stuffing tube! These casings are a Fresh collagen casings variant. Fresh casings, as the name implies, are for fresh or unsmoked sausages. All our fresh casings are clear in appearance ranging in sizes from 21mm to 32mm. These are meant to be used a replacement for hog or sheep casings in varying fresh sausage applications. Fresh casings are not designed to be used or hung on smoke sticks for smoking in a smokehouse. They simply do not have the strength to support the hanging weight of the product. A 4" link in the 21mm fresh casings will make a traditional 1 ounce link. A 30 or 32mm fresh casing is what you should use for things like bratwursts, italian sausage, and other similar fresh sausages. The 32mm is closer to the size that you may find in may store brand sausages and bratwursts, but many people prefer the slightly smaller diameter 30mm casings when making sausage or brats.

NOTE: "Fresh" Sausage Casings should not be hung in a smokehouse

Great for Brats, Polish, etc. Fits in a bun better than 32mm. Edible casings that are consistent and uniform in size.

30mm Fresh Collagen Casings 2 pack:
  • 2 Strands each approximately 50 feet long
  • Will hold approximately 40 lbs. of meat

30mm Fresh Collagen Casings Caddy:
  • 30 Strands each approximately 50 feet long
  • Each caddy will hold approximately 534 lbs. of meat
